Spirits of Spring!

Sunshine! Spring! Finally! While our winter selection was dominated by neats and shots - whiskey, heavy cognac and vodka - we feel we deserved something a little bit more upbeat for spring. So we asked Gulpon subscribes to describe their favorite "spring" cocktail/drink...
Analyzing over a hundred recipes received by Gulpon vie email Twitter and Facebook - we found a few fascinating facts about spring drinks cocktails:
1. Get some color Most of the drinks shared with us were red/green or yellow - tropical colors prevailed. Clear winner here is a Drunken Bunny  made by mixing equal parts of Blue Curacao Melon liqueur Orange Rum and half part Whiped Cream, Thanks to @mrsR. for that one!

2. GO fruits! CO Berries Apple/Patron, Absolut/Grapefruit, Cranbery/Jameson (an interesting one), Gin/Cucumber, Berry Martinis ... Say no to carbonated sugary drinks for spring - go for juices and vitamins. All new tong-twisting popular new juices are most likely to be sold by Whole Foods so bring your own bag!
3. Plain is Good - Mixed is Better - don't be afraid to mix it up this spring! When it comes to your drins or your personal life - shake it up a little, hold off on Jagermaster - go for Red Headed Slut instead which btw traditionally is made by mixing a part Jager with part of peach Schnapps and 3 parts of cranberry juice.
